Janice has been a practicing therapist for 10 years. She made a career change at the age of 40, having originally been a teacher for several years. Janice graduated from UCONN with a BS in Elementary Education. After the decision to pursue a long-time dream of being a therapist with her own private practice, Janice studied and graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also a certified meditation instructor and Reiki Master/Teacher. Janice has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in several different therapy settings. She owns her own private practice, Tree of Life Therapy. Janice utilizes her own life experiences, meditation, mindfulness, yoga and other holistic wellness techniques within her practice. She is passionate about helping others discover their true path in life and supporting them to find balance in their lives, body, mind and spirit.
Lauren St. Amour has over 20 years in the Social Work field. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Work degree at Providence College in 2001 and her Masters in Social Work from Boston University in 2004. Lauren has worked in many facets of therapy in the social work field, including home based children and family therapy, residential services for children and teens, elder care in nursing facilities and outpatient therapy services for youth, adults, couples and families. Lauren's passions lie with the elder community as well as grief and loss counseling. Lauren owns her private practice as well as being co-founder of Mystic Bridge to Wellness, which incorporates our colleagues’ individual passions with a holistic, full person approach to healing body, mind and spirit. In her free time, you can find Lauren spending time with her husband and two boys, recharging with amazing girlfriends, advocating for her son with Down Syndrome, shouting his and others’ worth, and empowering women.
