Hello, my name is Daniel, and I believe that everybody’s story deserves to be heard. Each person has their strengths and triumphs, as well as the places in their lives where they are stuck and would like a change. As your psychotherapist, my job is twofold. Firstly, I will hear and witness your story with true acceptance, curiosity, and a profound respect for what you find to be sacred in your life. This alone can be powerful and transformative. Secondly, I will work with you to discover and work toward your goals in a way that you are comfortable with. We will draw upon my knowledge and experience, but never in a way that takes you out of the driver’s seat. Together we will work towards getting you stronger and more able to live a life that feels truly aligned with the wishes of your heart, mind, and spirit.
My passion is to work with individuals from the teenage years into older adulthood who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, spiritual or religious issues, feeling stuck in their lives, and/or feeling unseen and unheard. I also enjoy working with groups. Following graduating from Boston College School of Social Work in 2020, I spent the past 2+ years working as a bereavement coordinator at a hospice in MA. In this role I provided grief and bereavement counseling, including the use of Prolonged Grief Therapy. My other clinical experiences include working with older adults struggling with life transitions and with living in long-term care facilities, with adolescents with trauma-related developmental delays, and with adolescents struggling with substance use disorders and/or mood disorders. My main therapeutic influences are Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), but I utilize an eclectic style pulling from various modalities, including the use of meditation approaches.
When I am not working, I am probably spending time with my beloved wife and our dog Dash. Or I am reading about world religions, watching the Red Sox, or singing along to classic rock.
